How do we come to know the world? How do we swallow it back into the body?

Formed material becomes raw matter, its structure broken down, sedimented, dissected, stretched, rubbed, folded and reconfigured - to chew means to process, unlearn and produce a new form of vocabulary.

 

In this shifting interplay, oscillating between the two dimensional and the sculptural, the exhibition space becomes a site of elasticity where Santos and Avgust seek points of contact by approaching that which is lost or barely visible.
